One of the first components to creating your life of Vitality is to define success on your terms (not the terms that everyone else has created for you). This can be tough, because we often have to wade through decades of programming and a lot of other people’s ideas of what success looks like.

When I first started setting goals for myself, a lot of the goals that I had were actually my dad’s goals.

As a sensitive person, I used to get my feelings hurt a lot (although I was really good at hiding it). Through the years of my healing journey, I have learned a great deal about why people hurt your feelings. By taking a look at these three reasons and implementing the information into your daily life, you’ll free yourself of a lot of the hurt that is created by others. Here they are:

Reason #1: They think they are doing you a favor –

In my six years of coaching and my lifetime of being a self-help junkie, I have read so many tips on how to accomplish goals. Here are three tips that I have found to be some of the most useful:

Tip #1: Use a habit tracker – I have found tracking my habits each and every day is really motivating and builds a lot of momentum. You can do this on an app for your phone or on physical paper.

Many of the women who are attracted to Vitality as a resource are at risk for burning out. This is because many of us are highly energetically sensitive/empathic and need more rest and relaxation than the average person (it just comes with the territory of being energetically sensitive). We all have goals we want to accomplish in our lives, but our mindset often holds us back from actually accomplishing them. Here are three mindset shifts I have found to work and that will assist you in accomplishing your goals.

If you are anything like my Vitality ladies, you may be a (recovering) perfectionist. Perfectionists have a tendency to be really hard on themselves and spend a lot of time beating themselves up. Do you relate to this? If so, I think you’ll gain a lot by reading today’s article.

The first thing I want you to do is think of a goal you are working on right now that you are “failing”

Earlier this year, my health gave out in a big way. All I could do was sleep, my muscles hurt so badly that I couldn’t even do gentle yoga (the thing that kept me grounded), and I was steadily gaining weight, despite eating healthier and moving more regularly than ever before. Looking back on it, I had so many signs my body was going to give out before it happened…but I just kept pushing through.

One of the things that I have struggled with the most in my life is a low self-confidence. I used to be quite the perfectionist (I’m in recovery now;). Perfectionism can create quite a bit of negative self-talk, which retrains your subconscious to constantly pick out the negative things about yourself. As a result, it can completely destroy your self-confidence and self-esteem. After all, how can you feel good about yourself if you are regularly pointing out all the ways in which you aren’t good enough?

I don’t know about you, but when I first heard of affirmations…I rolled my eyes. It sounded way too pie-in-the-sky to speak things into existence! That’s because creating successful affirmations is more effective if you start smaller in the beginning so you can build your belief. When you know how to use them, they actually work! Here are three tips you can use to start manifesting your desires utilizing affirmations:

Tip #1: Start with something believable –
