Do you ever feel like you are so far from the person you know that you are capable of being? For the longest time, that was the way I felt…even when I was doing everything I could to “be a better person”. If you relate, you are really going to appreciate this article.

I can remember, back when I was perpetually dieting, I would tell myself I was going to completely overhaul my diet on Monday,

Earlier this year, I was stuck in a rut in a major way. I felt like I had put so much time and energy into my business/spiritual growth and I had nothing left to give. I was exhausted, burnt out, and felt really directionless. Honestly, it was really uncomfortable going from being a really passionate person to being stuck in a rut over the course of a year.

Now, I’m grateful that it happened because I can relate to others on a whole new level.

This surprises most people because of what I do for work, but I am not a fan of New Year’s resolutions. I don’t know about you, but when I used to set New Year’s resolutions, I would always try to bite off more than I could chew. Not to mention…I’d never accomplish them. If you are struggling with this too, here are some steps that may make it easier for you, too:

In my six years of coaching and my lifetime of being a self-help junkie, I have read so many tips on how to accomplish goals. Here are three tips that I have found to be some of the most useful:

Tip #1: Use a habit tracker – I have found tracking my habits each and every day is really motivating and builds a lot of momentum. You can do this on an app for your phone or on physical paper.

Shift #1: Focus on what you are adding to your life (not what you are taking away) – So often, when we set a goal for ourselves, we focus on deprivation. Let’s say our goal is to lose weight.

If you are anything like my Vitality ladies, you may be a (recovering) perfectionist. Perfectionists have a tendency to be really hard on themselves and spend a lot of time beating themselves up. Do you relate to this? If so, I think you’ll gain a lot by reading today’s article.

The first thing I want you to do is think of a goal you are working on right now that you are “failing”
